From Application to First Donation

This guide walks you through joining Amply, from initial application to accepting your first donation.

Before You Apply

Check Eligibility

Amply serves verified nonprofits and charitable organizations. Before applying, ensure you:

  • Have legal nonprofit or charitable status in your jurisdiction
  • Can provide official registration documentation
  • Have authorized representatives who can complete identity verification
  • Have a bank account in your organization's name

Gather Documentation

You'll need:

  • Registration documents: Certificate of incorporation, charity registration, or equivalent
  • Tax documentation: Tax-exempt status confirmation (e.g., 501(c)(3) letter in the US)
  • Bank details: Account information for receiving payouts
  • Authorized signatory: Someone who can legally represent the organization

Application Process

Step 1: Create Account

Start by creating an organizational account on Amply. You'll need:

  • Organization name (as registered)
  • Primary contact email
  • Country of registration

Step 2: Submit Verification

Upload your documentation and complete verification:

  1. Legal verification: Submit registration documents
  2. Identity verification: Authorized representative confirms identity
  3. Banking verification: Link your organization's bank account

Verification typically takes 2-5 business days. Complex cases may require additional documentation.

Step 3: Complete Profile

While verification processes, set up your organization's public profile:

  • Description: What your organization does
  • Mission statement: Your purpose and goals
  • SDG alignment: Which Sustainable Development Goals you address
  • Logo and branding: Visual identity for your donation pages

Step 4: Configure Donation Settings

Set up how you'll receive donations:

  • Donation amounts: Suggested giving levels
  • Recurring options: Monthly, quarterly, annual giving
  • Funds/projects: How donations should be categorized
  • Thank-you messaging: Automated donor acknowledgments

Step 5: Set Up Payouts

Configure how funds reach your bank account:

  • Payout schedule: Daily, weekly, or monthly
  • Minimum threshold: Minimum amount before payout triggers
  • Bank verification: Confirm your banking details

Going Live

Once verified, you can:

Your white-label donation pages are ready to share. Customize the URL, embed on your website, or share directly.

Invite Team Members

Add staff with appropriate permissions:

  • Admin: Full access to all settings and data
  • Finance: Access to transactions and payouts
  • Content: Edit profile and campaign information
  • View only: Dashboard access without edit rights
